Leigh Davis had a big Sx Nations in 1996 and everyone was talking about him going on the 1997 Lions tour. Then he disappeared without trace. What happened?/
All the Rugby League boys came back to Union including Scott Gibbs and Alan Bateman, who cemented the Wales spots. Leigh was also a social player more than a professional player, his antics when partying are pretty legendary.
How did england ever win this match ,the video only shows Italy attacking then just a brief view of England scoring ????
vampire
Tough guy Mr Finley Calder. Dont take liberties with him. Lovely man off the field
1st try forward pass ?
Did he score the try tho?
Blanco qui met des Bonnes patates pour accompagner les rosbeaf
I came here for 1:15:30 🙂 Tarw taking the mark on his own line and booting it out close to halfway.
This was England Biggest Ever Win in Rugby Union History and at the Same time it was Tonga’s Worst Ever Defeat in their history
Shame yoh .
Blind sider.
Thank-you! I do wish that posters of Rugby matches would refrain from putting the final score in the title.
1:26:40 Lomu!
Most of the English subs are better than the current England first team lol... Just shows how much we've fallen.
I'm in my late 40's now. When I think back, it was absolutely mental these all out brawls where everyone joined in! To be fair, 90% of the game was fair play and I have great memories of my teammates and opponents. But, there was definitely a 10% who didn't always share that view all the time!
Not sure that try would of stood today, Bernat Salles was taken out off the ball 😂
Nothing better than seeing this elitist's flog get belted
Oh how I wish the rugby now could be as brilliant as this .
Fair play both sides. Unlucky France at the end. Well played Wales, and the referee!
Please consider uploading games when Wales weren't winners.
Please please please stop putting the final score in the video intro !!!
Pure theft!
Both full backs excellent. England's backs were cluless. Fine refeeeing, but?
Superb commentary team! The Scots in the first half were like the All Blacks -without tge NZ dirtyness.
Hasta el.nombre es ridiculo pobres dinos ex esclavos argentinos
How did you get this from our country btw my channel repost all black moments so i posted some of this i put you name in the description
I video tapesd the games at the time, then converted to dvd when dvd came out, then posted them here when I figured out how to make them digital.
Oh that makes sense
Why does it start off in french?
I didnt have a version with English at the start, so I used the French for the first minute or so.
@@PaulDavies4yea only 2 minutes all good
Obrigado, meu pai jogou esse jogo pra Portugal
It was a cheap shot let’s face it.
The thing that I remember about this game is an interview the rugby pundits wanted with Neil Jenkins after the Welsh victory. I cannot find the interview anywhere but after winning 22 points for Wales & at the zenith of his career Neil was sorry he could not spare the time to chat as his Nan was not well & he had to get home to see her! No ego. No grandstanding. A true Welsh rugby hero.
Andrew and Jenkins = boring kickfest
Imagine this in a football match!
Poor old Peter Fitzsimmons couldnt punch his way out of a poets tea party.
I bumped into Nigel Meek on his stag do, nice guy along with his firefighter mates
I Would Love to See The Ivory Coast Back in a RWC
26.9 kick for goal wtf
Scrums we’re absolute crap in those days not much has changed
The commentator is mocking the French but all I am seeing is them knocking Aussies down all over the show 😅
Gerald narrating with Bob Symonds, I recognise their Welsh diction..
Brutal scrums back then now 2023 not so collar bone braking
Two top teams
Biased ref
Diana was there for Will😉
Come on Romania !...
The French are a dirty bunch.😊
this was only time ivory coast played at world cup
Fitzy simply the best hooker 💪
As a British born Japanese, educated at perhaps the most racist boarding school about, this tackle + some great tries by the blossoms in this competition made life a little easier for me. Bless you for uploading this video!!
I remember in my naive thinking this was the start of a golden era. Instead we had 17 years of reaching depth after depth culminating in the 96-13 loss in Pretoria against SA. But back to this game, Evans was one amazing player and was one of the only shining lights in the dark days of the early nineties.
I agree, for so many years we blamed rugby league for stripping all our best players away, yet when they came back it didn't have that much effect.
Portugal have come a long way since. Walker was beyond fast. Ieuan Evans was a master of the game.
